Driver Allegedly Provides False Name, Flees Crash Scene in Winslow Township

state_policeWINSLOW TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a hit and run accident occurred on Vo Tech Road, approximately 650 feet east of Cricket Road, in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 36-year-old Amy J. Logan, of Ridgway, was traveling eastbound on Vo Tech Road when she failed to negotiate a sharp left in the roadway.

Logan’s 2000 Saturn SL1 left the right side of the roadway and traveled down an embankment and under a large tree. The vehicle struck several hanging branches of the tress and sank into the soft grass, coming to a final rest under the tree.

Authorities say Logan allegedly provided a false name and then fled the scene on foot after police arrived on scene.

Logan was not injured.

It is unknown whether she was using a seat belt.

She was charged with a traffic violation.

Jewell’s Towing assisted at the scene.
