‘Habitual Offender’ Faces Charges for Driving with Suspended License in Brookville

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT)– Brookville Borough Police say a male driver is facing multiple charges after a routine traffic stop February 20 on South Pickering St. and Tunnel Hill Road in Brookville, Jefferson County.

According to police, the traffic stop was conducted around 10:03 p.m. after a white Ford truck was observed with a brake light out and a broken rear window covered with a non-transparent material.

After stopping the vehicle, police determined that the male driver had no driver’s license due to suspension.

Police say there was also no insurance on the vehicle and the vehicle’s inspection was expired.

Through a subsequent check of the driver’s history through PennDot, police determined that the drier was a habitual offender.

The driver was charged with driving as a habitual offender, driving while license is suspended, not having insurance, expired inspection, and for windshield obstructions.

Per Brookville Police Department policy, the name of the driver was not released.
