Dunkle Announces Candidacy for County Auditor

CaptureBROOKVILLE, Pa. – Mabel Dunkle has announced her candidacy for Jefferson County Auditor in the upcoming primary election.

Dunkle’s announcement is as follows:

I Mabel (Sis) Dunkle am seeking the position of Jefferson County Auditor.

In seeking this position my highest priority is to perform the duties of Jefferson County Auditor in a professional and diligent manner. I will continue to serve the Republican Party, and all the residents of Jefferson County.

I have served for eight years on the Brookville Town Council. I was the Center Director at the Heritage House from 1997 to 2005.

For many years, I have been very active in many community events including the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company’s 100th year celebration.

I have served as a trustee of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. I have also sold thousands and thousands of tickets over the years for the community ranging from businesses to non-profit organizations from all over Jefferson County.

Through my commitment to the community I was named the Grand Marshall for the Laurel Festival in 2007, and was awarded the Brookville Chamber of Commerce Dr. Walter Dick Memorial Award for volunteering service to the community. I have stayed busy all of my life volunteering and serving the community.

I was married to the late Sheriff Harry Ed Dunkle and we had one daughter, who has passed away. I have two granddaughters and five great grand kids.

I have been a part of this surrounding community for many years and promise to do my best for you as the Jefferson County Auditor.

I would appreciate your vote in the May Primary Election.
