NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (EYT) – Edgewood Heights is offering an AARP Smart Driver refresher course for drivers over the age of 50.
The event will be held at 12:00 p.m. on October 6.
This is for individuals who have already taken the full 8 hour course. Most insurance agencies require you complete the refresher course every 3 years to maintain the discount on your car insurance. Talk to your insurance agent to find out.
The refresher course will cover:
– New traffic laws and rules of the road
– Defensive driving techniques
– How to compensate for age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time
The cost is $15.00 for AARP Members and $20.00 for non-AARP members.
The fee should be made payable to AARP and covers the cost of teaching materials.
Class size is limited.
