Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Trunzo

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Trunzo, age 93 went to meet the Lord Sunday evening December 21, 2014 at Nelson’s Golden Years in DuBois.

Elizabeth was born on November 24, 1921 in Brockway, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Angelo and Francesca Camella Trunzo.

Elizabeth worked as a laborer at Brockway Glass retiring in 1984 after 39 years of service.

She was a member at St. Tobias Catholic Church in Brockway. She loved cooking, gardening, her cat and watching sports especially the Steelers. Most of all she loved her family especially her grandchildren and spent much of her time with them enjoying every moment.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Susan) Trunzo of Brockway; three grandchildren Scott Trunzo (Denise Lias) of Elizabethtown, Pa; Steven Trunzo of Middletown, Pa. and Mandy (Jessie) Jadush of McAdoo, Pa; four great grandchildren Caitlynn, Ryan, Madison, and Jacob and one brother Francis Trunzo. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters: Mary Martucci, Joseph Trunzo, John Trunzo, Magdalena Fritz, Tomasina Evers, Jenny Trunzo, Anthony Trunzo, Samual Trunzo, Edith Manning and Victoria Fustine.

Friends will be received on Saturday, December 27 from 9:00 A.M. until 9:45 A.M. in the Chapel at St. Tobias Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. at St. Tobias with Msgr. Charles Kaza as celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
