Scan0002[1]Elmo M. Welsh, 93, of Fairmount City (Alcola), died Saturday afternoon, November 14, 2015, at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

She was born on February 10, 1922 in Deanville, the daughter of James Henry and Lena (Steggers) Keener. On November 9, 1948, she married Harry E. Welsh and he preceded her in death on August 5, 2014.

She is survived by a daughter, Trudy Beekman and her husband Raymond of Moorhead, Minnesota, three sons, Larry Welsh and his wife Janice of LaPorte, Indiana, David Welsh and his wife Darlene of Sheffield, and Timothy Welsh and his wife Dianne of Brookville, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, and four sisters, Opal Minich of New Bethlehem, Martha Vaughn of Warren, Doris Hopper of Kellersburg, and Esther Matas and her husband John of Johnstown.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by six brothers, Howard Keener, Clarence Keener, Delbert Keener, Melvin Keener, Paul Keener, and an infant.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating. Interment will be in the Alcola Trinity Cemetery, Redbank Township, Clarion County.
