Father and Son Waiting in Car For School Bus Struck Head-On

WARSAW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A vehicle with a father and son inside waiting for a school bus was struck head-on by an oncoming SUV on Friday.

DuBois-based State Police said Kevin E. Epley, 42, of Reynoldsville, was parked along Allen Mills Road around 6:52 a.m., waiting for the school bus, with his 16-year-old son.

For unknown reasons, a westbound 2018 Buick Encore operated by Edgar S. Bowdish, 74, of Falls Creek, veered off Allen Mills Road and struck Epley’s 2010 Mercury Mountaineer head-on.

No injuries were reported.

Zimmerman’s Towing removed both vehicles from the scene.
