Featured Local Job: Environmental Field Supervisor

Opal Corp, an Environmental Remediation and Rehabilitation Services Contractor located in Clarion, PA, has an opening for an Environmental Field Supervisor.

They work regularly in PA, OH, NY, WV. Opal handles environmental remediation, demolition and restoration projects. They are also professional first responders who are trained to handle and respond to countless environmental and industrial incidents.

Work Environment:
Typical work hours, in addition to after hours and weekend emergency response work as needed. Opal team members will work outside in all types of weather conditions. They will be driving in different types of terrain and environments. Opal team members will occasionally need to wear different types of PPE, including Respirators, Tyvek suits and other protective clothing.

Description:
The Field Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operations of the job and crew. The Supervisor will be required to fill out any and all required field paperwork and submit daily time sheets. Initiate safety meetings and pre-job JSAs. Communicate with clients on job sites about status of project and handle any issues that arise. Field Supervisors will be expected to respond to time sensitive emergency releases/incidents.

Opal is looking for dedicated individuals who will do the following:
1. Direct set up and teardown of jobs and clean ups.
2. Lead Safety and Team Meetings.
3. Drive and operate various motor vehicles and equipment.
4. Ability to train new employees on proper safety protocols and equipment handling.
5. Use small hand tools, shovels, squeegees, chain saws etc., also use assorted absorbent materials to wipe and clean machinery and equipment.
6. Availability to be on call for Emergency Responses.
7. Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
1. Valid Driver’s license (CDL preferred) and willing to get required endorsements.
2. Prior supervisory or team management experience.
3. The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
4. Current 40 Hour Hazwoper Training and other certifications/licenses are a plus, but not required.
5. Must be willing to obtain required training/licenses within 90 days of hire (Company Paid).
6. Ability to Communicate both written and orally with both Clients, Managers and Office Staff.
7. Ability to use Microsoft Office Products (Office, Excel, Outlook).

Compensation and Benefits:
$24-$30 per Hour
