Featured Local Job: Group Supervisor

Western Secure Treatment Unit operated by Rite of Passage is looking for a Group Supervisor.

Salary: $55,000/annually

What you’ll do:
The Group Supervisor exercises considerable independent judgment and authority on a daily basis through direction and supervision of both students and staff in order to meet expectations of the services provided. The Group Supervisor exercises direct control and direction over subordinate staff such as Senior Coach Counselors, Coach Counselors, Night Coach Counselors, transportation, etc. as assigned in the safety, care and around-the-clock supervision of students in the program. The Group Supervisor’s duties include participation and authority in decisions involving processes to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, promote, discharge, assign, evaluate performance, reward or discipline other employees and program delivery.

The work week consists of 3 twelve hours shifts and 1 six hour shift for a total of 42 hours/week.

A Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 8a – 9p or 8p – 9a and Wednesday hours vary

B- Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday 8a – 9p or 8p – 9a and Wednesday hours vary

To be considered, you should:
– Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.
– Have a desire to work with troubled teens and at least 1 year of direct care experience with juveniles.
– Have experience in a supervisory role.
– Be at least 21 years of age.
– Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
– Be able to pass the Group Supervisor test.
– Have completed ROP University (Essentials) and IQT (Tech 22).
