Fire Marshal, ATF Investigating Fire at Albion Heights United Methodist Church

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – A fire that occurred at Albion Heights United Methodist Church in Punxsutawney on Monday night is currently under investigation.

According to a representative of Jefferson County 9-1-1, they received a call reporting a fire at Albion Heights United Methodist Church, on Clawson Street in Punxsutawney, around 5:54 p.m.

The three Punxsutawney fire companies, Central, Elk Run, and Lindsey, were all dispatched, along with companies from McCalmont Township, Big Run, Sykesville, Reynoldsville, Perry Township, Oliver Township, and West Sandy Township. Companies from Brookville and Rossiter were placed on on stand-by.

Jefferson County EMS also assisted at the scene.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
