Florene A. Kerr, age 93, of DuBois, PA, died Friday, March 22, 2024, at Nelson’s Golden Years.
Born on January 21, 1931, in Reynoldsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Stockdale, Sr., and Zeta (Cochran) Stockdale.
On June 20, 1953, she married Thomas C. Kerr. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1992.
Florene retired from Ideal Products in Sykesville, PA after over 20 years of service.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in DuBois, PA.
Florene is survived by two sisters (Ruth Dobis of DuBois, PA, and Connie (John E.) Hopkins of Pinehurst, NC), and three brothers (Matthew (Patricia) Stockdale of Reynoldsville, PA, Joseph (Iva) Stockdale of Sykesville, PA and Francis Stockdale of Punxsutawney, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers (John, Robert Jr., and Wilbur Stockdale).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 2 -5 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor Mark Montgomery officiating.
Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church 197 Eastern Avenue, and/or Nelson’s Golden Years, 137 Oklahoma Cemetary Road, both in DuBois, PA 15801.
