Francis T. “Frank” Etherson

Francis T. “Frank” Etherson, 88, of Cranberry Township, died Monday, November 29, 2021, at The Waters of Wexford, in Warrendale, PA.

He was born December 18, 1932, in Rossiter, PA, a son of the late Mary (Truance) and Francis P. Etherson.

Frank served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 and was stationed in Europe during the Korean War.

On May 8, 1953, he married Marcia L. (Reid) Etherson, who preceded him in death on October 19, 2012.

Frank was a graduate of the Rossiter High School Class of 1950.

He was the owner and founder of Keyway Computer and Mailing Services for over forty years until his retirement.

He attended the Shiloh Presbyterian Church in St. Marys, PA.

Frank was a lifetime member of the Elks and a member of DPMA (Data Processing Management Association).

Frank enjoyed playing high school basketball, golfing, HAM Radio, telling stories, following the stock market and reading.

Surviving relatives include three children, daughters Stacey Etherson of Monroeville, PA, and Marcy Etherson of Cumberland, MD, and a son Alex Etherson and wife Linda of Cranberry Township; three grandchildren, Reid, Jacob and Julia Etherson; a cousin Jack Simpson and his wife Peggy of Fort Pierce, FL, and several cousins, nieces and their families.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation beginning at 1 p.m. with Pastor Erin Kobs officiating.

Interment will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mr. Etherson, to the Carl A. Truance Athletic Scholarship, 383 Shady Ridge Drive, Monroeville, PA 15146.
