Fred Walker

Fred Walker, 75 of Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Walker was born September 21, 1939 in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Howard and Mary Lucille (Smith) Walker.

In 2003 he was preceded in death by his loving wife Carol Ann (Kensinger) Walker, to whom he devoted his life.

He was retired from the Carpenters local Union # 142 Pittsburgh.

Although a retired carpenter, his real passion was for cars and the car business. He enjoyed spending time at his son’s car dealership and his brother’s repair and towing service.

Fred will always be remembered for his genuine good nature and shiny blue eyes.

Fred is survived by his sons; Douglas F. Walker and Dennis A. Walker and Lisa Catalano all of Punxsutawney, brothers; Alton Walker and wife Donna of Orttanna, Henry Walker and wife Kay, John Walker, Duane Walker and wife Deborah, Paul Walker and wife Greta, Tim Walker and Lois Drummond, David Walker all of Punxsutawney, sister; Darlene Walker of Punxsutawney and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.

Interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery.
