‘Friends of the Flag’ Announces Annual Flag Ride Slated for June 4

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Friends of the Flag will host its 20th Annual Flag Ride on Sunday, June 4, beginning in Brookville.

Registration is from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. An escorted parade ride to the first stop will leave at 10:00 a.m. at the Fireman’s Club and will travel to the Eagles Club in Clarion before returning to the Brookville Firemen’s Club.

The ride will be approximately 120 miles long, ending around 4:30 p.m.

There will be food, drinks, and door prizes.

The conclusion of the ride will focus on patriotism and veterans.

Also, to commemorate the 20th anniversary, camping will be available at Eagle’s Nest in Hazen.

The gates open at 5:00 p.m., Friday with music both Friday and Saturday. The headlining band on Saturday is Broken Down Dog.

Money raised from the weekend will benefit local veterans and their families.

The cost for the entire weekend is $40.00 – $30.00 for Saturday only, and for the ride only, the cost is $15.00.

Minich Truck and Trailer Repair will donate a prize for the most patriotic outfit.

The Fireman’s Club is located at 202 East Main Street, Brookville, Pa.

Friends of the Flag is a not for profit organization that conducts an annual ride to raise needed funds for local causes, with priority placed on veterans.
