Galen C. Brocious

Galen C. Brocious, 74, of Dora, passed away on Saturday April 6, 2024 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born December 31, 1949 to Nelson C. and Jane E. (Hepler) Brocious in Brookville.

Galen started working at Rola Jensen until 1969 when he began his military service.

He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Army from 1969-1972 as an Administration Specialist in Heidelberg, Germany.

After his service in the Army, he worked at Season-All Industries from 1972-1974, then worked at R&P coal until 1996, and retired as a truck driver in 2007.

He was a member of the UMWA and the National Rifle Association.

He enjoyed reloading ammunition, photographing wildlife, and hunting.

He is survived by four sisters: Darla J. Minich (Dean), Mayport, Patricia I. DuMont, South Dakota, Nancy J. Matko (Steve), Cherry Tree, and Wendy K. Hoppe (Steven), Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Vicky A. Brocious.

Interment will take place at Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
