GANT: Clearfield Police Arrest Oklahoma Man Wanted for Rape of Child

CLEARFIELD, Pa. – Clearfield Regional police conducted a warrant service on November 5 on Bridge Street in Clearfield Borough.

According to a department-issued news release, the incident occurred around 12:04 a.m. The male driver was unable to provide identification and gave a fake name.

He claimed to be from Texas, and to have just moved to Clearfield; however, further investigation discovered the male was 35-year-old Anthony Turner of Oklahoma.

Police also discovered Turner had an active warrant for the rape of a child in Oklahoma, which was confirmed. He was arrested and housed in county jail to await extradition.
