Robert Lee Lannen Jr., 52, was sentenced to a total of eight to 16 years in state prison and two years concurrent probation for nine felony counts of disseminate photo/film of child sex acts, 40 felony counts of child pornography and one felony count of criminal use of communication facility by Judge Paul E. Cherry.

He was also ordered to complete the Project Point of Light program.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, a state trooper was conducting an undercover investigation into the sharing of child pornography on the Internet.

He located a computer and was able to download a file from it that contained a child performing a sex act. This computer was traced back to Lannen.

The trooper was able to download nine other videos from this computer between April 3, 2018 and July 3, 2018.

After a search warrant was executed at Lannen’s residence in December, police located a thumb drive that had 46 video files of child pornography.

In an interview with police at his residence, Lannen admitted that he had used software to obtain and possess child pornography on the Internet and said these images could be found on his laptop computer.

Lannen also admitted that the thumb drive found by investigators belonged to him.
