DUBOIS, Pa. (GANT) – A DuBois man is facing felony charges for allegedly threatening to slit a woman’s throat and trying to break into the business where she works while under the influence of methamphetamine.

Richard John Bonanno, 30, was charged by state police with burglary, felony terroristic threats, as well as misdemeanor driving under the influence, harassment and several traffic summaries after an incident in Huston Township on Jan. 10.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, police responded to the business after they reported a disturbance there.
The victim said she and her son, Bonanno, were in a verbal altercation earlier that day at their residence.
While she was at work, she reportedly received a call from Bonanno saying he was heading there to slit her throat. She then called her husband who also hurried to the scene.
The husband reported to police that Bonanno was driving at speeds up to 100 miles per hour and he was unable to catch up to him.
She was able to lock the doors and when Bonanno arrived, he allegedly tried to break into the business. He was told to leave numerous times, but reportedly continued to cause damage to the front door.
When police arrived, the victim’s husband had Bonanno subdued.
In an interview with investigators, Bonanno admitted to snorting methamphetamine, according to the report.
During centralized court Friday, Bonanno waived his right to a preliminary hearing sending the case on to the court of common pleas.
At that time, Bonanno’s bail was lowered from $25,000 to $25,000 unsecured by District Judge Patrick Ford and he was released.
