GANT: One Dead Following Crash in Clearfield County

OSCEOLA MILLS, Pa. (GANT) – One person is dead following a fatal crash that occurred Friday in Osceola Borough, Clearfield County.

According to a news release issued by Clearfield-based state police, it occurred at 8:36 p.m. at the intersection of Hale and Logan Streets.

At the time of the crash, state police say a Yamaha Grizzly 700 operated by Mark S. Earnest, 55, of Osceola Mills was traveling southbound on Hale St. when he lost control for unknown reasons while attempting to make a right-hand turn, causing the unit to roll over. Earnest was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clearfield Co. Coroner’s Office.

State police were assisted at the scene by Columbia Fire Company, Moshannon Valley EMS, Dunlap’s Towing and the Clearfield Co. Coroner’s Office.
