COOKSBURG, Pa. (EYT) – Gateway Lodge in Cooksburg was recently named as one of Travel & Leisure Magazine’s “Top Five Winter Escapes from Philadelphia.”
The articles boasts that the popular local getaway is “tucked among the pine trees of Cook Forest” and “offers guests an elegant and intimate setting that has the feel of a bed and breakfast but the amenities of a luxury resort.”
It goes on to invite guests to try the lodge’s “Farm-to-Forest Dinner Experience,” which features locally-sourced seasonal fare in a cozy fireside atmosphere.
Guests can also “book a spa treatment, play a game of billiards, catch up on your reading list, or book a cross-country or snowshoeing lesson.”
