George Merton “Mert” Beatty, 76, of Kittanning Twp., passed away on March 4, 2015 at Shadyside Hospital – Pittsburgh.
He was born on July 16, 1938 to George Alter and Hope (Ryan) Beatty in Penn Hills, PA. George was an Entrepreneur in the oil and gas field.
He was a member of Kerr Presbyterian Church in Milltown, PA and the NRA. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going to camp.
George is survived by his wife Theodora Beatty; two sons – George (Brigid) Beatty of Kittanning and Theodore W. Beatty of Plum, PA; daughter – Maria (David) Didiano of Kittanning; sister – Sally Baird of Penn Hills; seven granddaughters – Nicole Beatty (Jon) Cammuso, Hope Beatty, Rebecca Beatty, Rachael Beatty (Kevin) Novak, Clare Beatty, Olyvia Didiano and Haley Didiano; two grandsons – Michael and Nathan Beatty; 3 Nephews, 2 Nieces and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents
