Gerald R. “Hutch” Hutchins, 81, Penfield, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born April 4, 1943, in Brockport, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Elma (Place) Hutchins.
On March 7, 1964, he married Ida (Beer) Hutchins in DuBois. She survives.
Hutch graduated from Brockway High School and attended Jeff Tech.
Before his retirement, Hutch was a journey maintenance man for Brockway Glass.
Hutch enjoyed hunting, gardening, raising chocolate labs, collecting and rebuilding antique tractors, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was a member of the Horton Township Sportsman Club and the Susquehanna Antique Machinery Association.
In addition to his wife, Hutch is survived by two daughters, Denise (William) Washburn, Ridgway, and April (Brandon) Shetterly, Liverpool, PA, a grandson, William Gerald Washburn, and a great-grandson, Calvin Washburn.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Hutch was preceded in death by his parents, twin brothers, Robert and Ronald Hutchins, and a sister, Anne Merley.
There will be no public visitation or service.
Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
