SAEGERTOWN, Pa. – The Harborcreek 11-years old Little League team beat Punxsutawney twice Sunday to capture the Section 1 crown.
Coming out of the loser’s bracket, the team from Erie needed to beat Punxsutawney twice to win the Section and did so winning the first game 10-0 to force a winner-take-all title game, which it won 16-8.
Harborcreek now moves into the state tournament being held in Mount Union.
