Harry D. McCool

Harry D. McCool age 80 of O’Donnell Rd. Sigel, Pa. also known as “Mountain Man” died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville, Pa.

He was born in Brookville, Pa. on March 29th, 1933. the son of John and Annabelle Reed McCool. Harry had four brothers- Kenneth, Russel, Joe and Phillip and four sisters- Dora, Jean, Rosie, and Elaine. Harry married Mary Jane (Snyder), they had six children- Vern, Sheila, Bill, Daniel, Julie, and Hunter. He had several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Harry worked for the department of environmental resources as a forest ranger for twenty-five years.

Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting guns and knives. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Proceeding him in death are his parents, wife, three brothers, two sisters, three sons Vern, Bill, Daniel, and daughter Julie.

Survivng is his daughter Sheila and son Bradley “Hunter” McCool of Sigel, Pa., two sisters Rosie Westerman of Marienville, Pa. and Elaine Hetrick of Canton, Ohio, and one brother Kenneth McCool of Sigel, Pa..

Visitation will be held at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville, Pa. on Tuesday, March 11th, 2014 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM with services to follow at 2:00PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy McConville officiating.

Internment will be at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Eldred Twp., Jefferson Co., Pa.
