High School Baseball Roundup: Brookville Continues to Streak with Win at North Clarion

Friday’s high school baseball recaps.

BROOKVILLE 3, NORTH CLARION 2

FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. – Nick Keth tripled in the tying run and then scored the eventual winning run after getting out of a run down on a bunt by Logan Thrush in the fifth inning to help Brookville to a 3-2 win at North Clarion.

Trailing 2-1 going to the fifth, Gavin Park walked leading off and Keth tripled to deep left field to score him. Thrush then put down a bunt, and Keth was in a run down but escaped to score the go-ahead run. It was one of two runs scored for Keth, who was 2-for-3 on the day.

Kyle Dunkle also had two hits and an RBI for the Raiders.

Logan Minich led North Clarion going 3-for-3.

Tosh got the win in relief. He went three scoreless innings allowing two hits while striking out four. Park started and went four innings allowing two unearned runs on four hits and a walk while striking out three.

Zander Hargenrader took the loss in relief giving up two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out one. Zayn Hargenrader started and went three innings allowing one run on three hits and a walk while striking out four. Logan Weaver threw a scoreless, hitless seventh.
