DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 10, JOHNSONBURG 4
RIDGWAY, Pa. – Thomas Grecco drove in five runs and was the winning pitcher leading visiting DuBois Central Catholic to a 10-4 win over Johnsonburg at Sandy Beach Park in Ridgway.
Grecco went 3-for-4 and also scored a run for the Cardinals, who also got a pair of RBIs from Austin Cogley, two hits and three runs scored from Jake Miknis and two hits, a run scored and an RBI from Brandon Walker.
Grecco also pitched five innings allowing two runs on two hits and six walks while striking out seven. Michael Misiewicz finished up allowing two runs on four hits and a walk in two innings of work.
Ben Ames was 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored for Johnsonburg with Johnny Mitchell also picking up two hits and a run scored and Ben Freeburg driving home two.
Mitchell suffered the loss going 3 ⅓ innings allowing six runs on six hits and four walks striking out one.
DCC advances to 12-2 on the year with Johnsonburg falling to 4-11.
