High School Softball Roundup: Brockway Falls to Curwensville

Tuesday’s high school softball recaps.

CURWENSVILLE 7, BROCKWAY 2

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Camryn Richards had three hits and winning pitcher Rylee Young added two hits to lead visiting Curwensville to a 7-2 win at Brockway.

Richard was 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored, while Young was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored for the Lady Tide.

Young also pitched well allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out 10 in seven innings of work.

Carlee Hidinger paced Brockway going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

FOREST AREA 5, CLARION-LIMESTONE 3

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – Jasmine Ginnery tossed a three-hitter, as Forest Area picked up its second win of the year with a 5-3 defeat of visiting Clarion-Limestone at East Forest.

Ginnery gave up three runs and struck out six in getting the victory.

C-L led 3-0 after 4 ½ before Forest Area scored five times in the bottom of the sixth.

Sarah Schettler had an RBI double, while Allison Carll, Ginnery, Cassie Cochran and Bianca Hetrick also had RBIs in the inning.

Schetter was 2-for-3 with a run scored, while Ginnery was 2-for-3 and Jailia Guzzi was 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Lady Fires.

Abby Carl was 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI for C-L, while Maddy Craig also had an RBI for the Lady Lions.
