High School Softball Roundup: Lingenfelter Throws Perfect Game for Punxsy

Wednesday’s high school softball recaps.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 1, ALTOONA 0

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Kylee Lingenfelter threw a perfect game to lead Punxsutawney to a 1-0 win over visiting Altoona.

Lingenfelter struck out 14 in getting the victory.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 9, BROOKVILLE 4

DUBOIS, Pa. – Trailing 4-2 after after four but DuBois Central Catholic scored four in the fifth and three in the sixth to rally for a 9-4 win over visiting Brookville.

Jordy Frank hit a pair of home runs and was 3-for-4. Ashley Wruble and Stephanie Rossi also had a pair of hits.

Assalone got the win going seven innings and allowing four runs, two earned, on nine hits and three walks and 11 strikeouts.

Laken Hergert was 4-for-4 to lead Brookville.
