PUNXSUTAWNEY 1, BALD EAGLE AREA 0
PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Kylee Lingenfelter threw her third straight no hitter walking three and striking out 16 to lead Punxsutawney to a 1-0 win over visiting Bald Eagle Area.
Mallory Cameron and Alli Ishman both had doubles for the Lady Chucks (8-2).
A-C VALLEY 18, CLARION-LIMESTONE 2, 5 INNINGS
STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – The middle of A-C Valley’s lineup combined to go 9 of 11 with six RBIs and 10 runs scored to lead the Lady Falcons to an 18-2, five-inning victory at Clarion-Limestone.
The three-four-five hitters fo Cami McNany, Maddie Morrison and Haylie Wetzel did most of the damage with McNany going 3-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and three runs scored, Morrison putting up a line of 3-for-4 with a double, four runs scored and two RBIs and Wetzel finishing 3-for-3 with a triple, a double, three runs scored and an RBI. Lauren McNany added a double, two RBIs and two runs scored, while Kylie Eaton was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs and Katie Stumpner 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI.
Stumpner pitched two innings giving up no hits and one walks while striking out two. Sydnie Schmidt went the final three innings allowing four hits, two runs, one earned. She walked two.
A-C Valley scored eight times in the second inning including doubles by both McNany’s, Morrison and Wetzel back-to-back-to-back-to-back.
Maddy Craig was 2-for-3 with an RBI for C-L, while Sadie Mahle went 2-for-3.
