Howard F. Snyder

Howard F. Snyder, 83, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at his home.

He was born May 25, 1938 to the late Elmer and Roseanna (Rockwell) Snyder in Timblin.

Howard was a retired coal truck driver. Then after his retirement he worked in Produce for 12 years at County Market, and was known as the “Produce Man.”

He could be frequently seen at the lottery machine at Shop’n Save.

Howard was active in the Run or Walk for Someone Special, not only helping raise funds but also by participating in the event.

Howard enjoyed playing horse shoes with his grandchildren, his 1938 Farmall, and spending time with his family.

His is survived by three daughters, Cansas E. Meckley, and husband Ron, Carla E. Salada, Christine E. Fezell, husband Tim, all of Punxsutawney, six grandchildren, Jason Logue, and Michael Logue and wife Holly, Melanie Roscuskie and husband Matt, Brian Salada and wife Jessica, Jackson and Ben Fezell, 8 great grandchildren, and great great grandson, four brothers, Fred Snyder and wife, Janet, Kenneth Snyder and wife Ruby, Ronald Snyder and wife Joan and Roy Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine (Walls) Snyder in 2017, eight siblings, Phyllis Smith, Norman Snyder, Byron Snyder, Earl Snyder, Darryl Snyder, Naomi Geist, Olive Slee, and Ray Snyder.

Friends will be received on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

Interment will take place at McClure Cemetery, Big Run.
