BELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say an 8-year-old boy who was found unresponsive Tuesday in Bell Township died of natural causes.
State police responded to the 200 block of Airport Road Tuesday for a report of an unresponsive male juvenile.
According to a release issued Thursday, the boy died as a result of congenital pachygyria.
Pachygyria is a congenital malformation of the cerebral hemisphere. It results in unusually thick convolutions of the cerebral cortex.
It is believed that the boy died sometime between Midnight and 9:49 a.m.
