James D. Stamler

James D. Stamler, 72 of Rossiter, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017, surrounded by his family at home.

James was born April 10, 1945, in Punxsutawney to the late George and Elizabeth (Lezak) Stamler.

He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and Protestant by faith.

James was retired from the Local Operators Engineers Union #66 where he worked as a heavy equipment operator and was also a member of the Rossiter American Legion #582.

His hobbies were building model planes and working on puzzles.

He is survived by his beloved wife Sandra (Bonicalzi) Stamler of Rossiter whom he married March 18, 1972.

They were married for 45 years.

Also, surviving are his children; Christopher Stamler and wife Kim and Jennifer Stamler all of Punxsutawney.

Three brothers; Wilbert Stamler and wife Donna of Punxsutawney, John Stamler and wife Mary of Ohio, Keith Stamler and wife Joann of Punxsutawney, three grandchildren; Hillary, Kelly and Allison Hoover.

Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

At the request of Mr. Stamler there will be no viewing.
