James Russell Snedden

5623b5e00604b[1]James Russell Snedden, 75, of Falls Creek, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, at his home from an extended illness.

Born April 12, 1940, in DuBois, he was the son of the late Alexander and Hulda Elizabeth (Peterson) Snedden. He married Marian (Edinger) Snedden on Feb. 14, 1959; she survives in Falls Creek.
Before retirement, Jim was employed as an offset pressman at Gray Printing and later at Nupp Printing. Jim enjoyed spending time at his camp, hunting, fishing, and wood working. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family playing cards. He was an avid NASCAR fan.

Jim is also survived by one daughter: Kim (Ron) Shick of Falls Creek and their children, Jolene Shick of Brockway, Emily Shick of DuBois and great-granddaughter Makenzie Shick of Falls Creek; one son, James Snedden Sr. of Rockton and his children, Jessica (Chris) Brooks of DuBois, James (Heather) Snedden Jr. of Pleasant Gap, Travis and Nicholas Snedden of State College, Casey Lockwood of Brockway, Jonathan Harris of State College, great-grandchildren: Jasmine Elizabeth Harris, Felicity Rose Lockwood, Jaydon Gauge Lockwood, Jonathan James Harris; one sister, Janet Yale of Brockport, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was also preceded in death by five sisters: Margaret Cox, Bernadine Lerch, Charlotte Stuckwick, Sara McKnight and Grace Sullian; six brothers: John, Paul, Harry, Dale, Leeland Snedden and an infant brother.

Private services were held on Saturday at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Burial will take place in Beechwoods Cemetery.
