Jeannine Anne Barger

Jeannine Anne Barger, 64, of Clearfield, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at her home.

She was born December 6, 1957 in Clearfield, the daughter of Gordon and Lois (Narehood) Shifter.

Mrs. Barger was a graduate of Clearfield High School, Class of 1975.

At the age of 16, Jeannine starting working at the Progress, first at the counter and then moving up into sales until her passing, giving 48 years of dedicated service.

She was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield where she served in various capacities.

Mrs. Barger was a member of the Clearfield Chamber of Commerce holding a number of positions including President and also served on the Clearfield EMS Board.

Jeannine is survived by her husband Robert G. “Bob” Barger whom she married September 21, 1996, three children; Robert L. “Bob” Selfridge and his wife Elaine of Philipsburg, Kimberley S. Paradisi and her husband Eric of Manassas, VA and Kelly J. Maney of Clearfield, two grandchildren; Janeen Y. “Neena” Selfridge and Alissa B. Selfridge, a brother, Duane Shifter of Clearfield and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Elaine Wisor.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family with Bob Ingrahm officiating.

Jeannine was loved by family, friends and business associates, therefore, a memorial service will be streamed live (video also available following) via https//tinyurl.com/jbarger at 4:00 EST on December 23, 2021.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 108R North Second Street, Suite 1 B, Clearfield, PA 16830, the Clearfield EMS, 713 W. Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 or charity of the donor’s choice.
