Jefferson Co. Woman Accused of Threatening to Slit Man’s Throat with Meat Cleaver

FALLS CREEK, Pa. (EYT) – A Jefferson County woman is facing criminal charges after she allegedly threatened to slit a man’s throat with a meat cleaver.

Court documents indicate that the DuBois-based State Police filed criminal charges against 29-year-old Amanda Nickole Williams, of Falls Creek.

According to a criminal complaint, around 9:32 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, Trooper Himes, of the DuBois-based State Police, was dispatched to a domestic dispute in progress at a residence on Main Street in Falls Creek Borough.

Trooper Himes spoke with a known male who reported that he was engaged in an argument with Amanda Williams, and when he went into another room, Williams retrieved a “meat cleaver” from the kitchen.

The victim reported that while holding the cleaver, Williams said, “I will slit your throat if you fall asleep.” The victim described the “meat cleaver” as having a silver, rectangular shaped blade with a black handle.

The complaint notes that a meat cleaver matching the description provided by the victim was located inside a drawer in the kitchen of the residence, on top of the other items in the drawer.

According to the complaint, Williams denied using the cleaver to threaten the victim.

Williams was arraigned at 9:35 a.m. on Sunday, October 21, in Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana’s office on the following charges:

  • Terroristic Threats With Intent To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1
  • Harassment – Communicate Lewd, Threatening, Etc. Language, Misdemeanor 3

Williams is free on $20,000.00 unsecured bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, with Judge Inzana presiding.
