Brockway Funeral Director’s License Revoked Following Conviction

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Department of State filed disciplinary actions against 169 licensed or commissioned professionals and organizations during the month of July, including a Jefferson County funeral director.

Secretary of State Pedro A. Cortés announced the comprehensive list of sanctions imposed by the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs on Thursday.

Included in the list is William L. Wills, license no. FD013673L, of Brockway, Jefferson County, was revoked because he was convicted of three crimes involving moral turpitude, in this or any other state or federal court or pleading guilty or nolo contendere to any such offense.

Specific details on these crimes were not released by the bureau.

Anyone who suspects unlicensed activity by an individual or facility, or who has been a victim of unethical treatment, can file a complaint either online or through the bureau’s hotline at 1-800-822-2113.

The bureau’s 29 boards and commissions license and oversee nearly 1 million active professionals and businesses, including a range of occupations in health and business fields.
