Jefferson County Man Busted Selling Suboxone

PUNXSUTAWNEY BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A Jefferson County man is facing charges following an undercover narcotics sting.

Court documents indicate the Clearfield-based State Police filed criminal charges against 36-year-old Roger Allen Kerr, of Punxsutawney.

According to a criminal complaint, on August 28, 2018, a trooper from the Clearfield-based State Police met with a confidential informant (C.I.) for the purpose of setting up a controlled purchase of controlled substances from Roger Allen Kerr.

The complaint notes the C.I. contacted Kerr through text messages and arranged the purchase of five strips of suboxone for $50.00.

According to the complaint, an undercover trooper observed as the C.I. exchanged the money with Kerr for a plastic bag containing several orange strips of suboxone, which were later entered into evidence.

The trooper met with a C.I. again on September 27, 2018, to arrange a second controlled purchase from Kerr. The C.I. contacted Kerr via text message again and arranged another purchase of suboxone. An undercover trooper observed the exchange, and the suboxone strips were also entered into evidence.

The following charges were filed against Kerr through Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock’s office on November 20, 2019:
