Jeffrey Allen Stroka, 57, of Big Run, passed away March 14, 2023, at his home.
He was born on February 17, 1966, in New Kensington, PA.
He is the son of Sandra Lee (Fritch) McGuire and stepfather, DeWayne McGuire.
Jeff was a graduate of DuBois Area High School.
Following graduation he went on to serve his country in the United States Army.
He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, he never left without saying “I love ya”.
Anything Jeff ever set out to do, was done with perfection.
He had an artistic eye and flair.
He mastered all of his interests and hobbies which included coin collecting, antiques, searching for old glass bottles, woodworking, ornate skull pictures and models and taxidermy.
He was excellent at taxidermy and completed several remarkable animals for himself.
His collections were meticulous, organized and well researched and documented.
His recent enthusiasm was remote control model cars, a hobby that he and his son Cody enjoyed together.
In addition to his parents, Jeff is survived by a son, Cody Stroka and his wife Savannah of Sykesville, step-daughter, Serena Hahn of Erie, two brothers: Jim Stroka and Jerry Stroka and his wife Kim all of Sykesville; and three nieces: Morgan, Paige and Lauren Stroka; and Cody’s mother, Connie Walker of Sykesville.
In accordance to Jeff’s wishes, there will be no public visitation.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
