John C. Peters, 64, of Ridgway, died Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville.
Born March 26, 1956 in Ridgway, he was the son of the late Carl Peters and Alice Bobowski.
He was a 1973 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. Following graduation he joined the United States Marine Corp.
John was employed in the general contracting and construction field for various companies.
He was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed camping, fishing, his dogs, and loved to travel to Colorado.
John is survived by one son, Carl Peters of Ridgway; one daughter, Marissa Peters of Brookville; four sisters, Carla Geer of Johnsonburg, Linda Kennedy and her husband “Jim” of Johnsonburg, Brenda Nowakoski and her husband”Ray” of Avenel, NJ and Lisa Adamski of Fords, NJ.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Adamski.
There will be a memorial service held at a later time; the date will be determined once restrictions related to Covid-19 are lifted.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad Street, Summerville, PA.
