John L. Esola, 84 of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania died on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Born Tuesday, June 6, 1933, in Winslow Township, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Samuel Esola and the late Annetta (Mocci) Esola. He was the husband of the late Rose M. (Potempa) Esola.
He is a veteran of the US Amry. He retired from Rockwell International, where he worked as an engineer for 25 years. He earned the Engineer of the year award.
He was a member of the Reynoldsville St. Mary’s Church, The American Legion and enjoyed playing billiards and golf.
He is survived by his son, John Esola of Brockport, PA, daughter, Debbie Logue (Steve) of Pittsburgh, PA; 2 grandchildren Sean and Rosie Logue of Pittsburgh PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers Augustine and Joseph and sisters Rita, Mary and Veronica.
A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 607 East Main Street Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania 15851 with the Fr. William Barron officiating.
Military honors will be performed by the DuBois Area Honor Guard following the service. Interment will be in St Mary’s Cemetery, Reynoldsville, PA.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania.
