Joseph J. Zellonis, 83 of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania died on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, Pennsylvania.
Born Saturday, December 16, 1933, in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Joseph M. Zellonis and the late Nellie L.M. (Vandervort) Zellonis. He was the husband of the late Gloria V. (Dickey) Zellonis.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and especially loved spending time with his grand and great grandkids.
He was a miner in the clay and coal mines early in life. he then worked at Jackson China and retired from Brookville Wood Products.
He is survived by his daughters, Nona V. Zellonis of Punxsutawney, PA, Gina M. Torrell (Daniel) of Reynoldsville, PA and Teri K. Weyant (Joseph) of Reynoldsville, PA, brothers, Daniel Matthew Zellonis of Niagara Falls, NY, John Zellonis of Butler, PA and Donald Zellonis of Knoxdale, PA, sisters, Mary Ella Toven of Punxsutawney, PA, Julia Ann Uplinger of Reynoldsville, PA, Elizabeth Klebacha of Reynoldsville, PA and Madalyn Rittenhouse of Knoxdale, PA; 4 grand children Trish M. Hopkins (Mark) of DuBois, PA, Daniel J. Torrell (Tabi) of Reynoldsville PA, Joseph P. Weyant of Reynoldsville, PA, and Shelby M. Weyant of Reynoldsville, PA; 3 great grand children Gracen, Maxon, and Tripp.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a sister, Nellie May Richards.
A Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home Inc. located at 206 E. Main Street Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania 15851 with the Pastor Kevin Orndorff officiating.
Interment will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville, PA.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania.
