Joyce Ann McClincy, 83, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the Harrisburg Hospital.
Born December 6, 1930, in Punxsutawney, PA she was the daughter of the late Helen (Howell) Snyder and Gerald “Bus” Snyder, and the only granddaughter of the late Charles Snyder, who at one time was the owner of the Pantall Hotel and Prothonotary of Jefferson County.
Joyce was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School Class of 1948.
She was a very stylish woman and a pet lover. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, and skiing.
Joyce held a tremendous artistic talent of many sorts. She was a gifted seamstress often creating articles of clothing for her family, including her daugther’s wedding dress.
Joyce is preceded in death by her loving parents, and adoring aunt, Sara Pauline Snyder, also of Punxsutawney, as well as two dogs, Snoopy and Maggie, and one cat, Popcorn. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 64 years, Paul C. McClincy; her daughter Rebecca Anne McClincy; and two grandchildren, Madeleine Paulina Darr and Liam Pierce Darr, by whom she will be tremendously missed.
Memorial services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
