Joyce M. Reed

Joyce M. Reed age 57 of Volunteer Fire Company Road Ridgway, PA; (Brandy Camp) died on Friday, January 22, 2016 at U.P.M.C. – Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Born in DuBois, PA on September 22, 1958 she was the daughter of Carl and Betty Bundy Anderson. Her mother survives and lives in Elbon, PA.

On September 17, 1988 she was married to Christy Reed and he survives. Retired, she was employed at Brockway Glass as a packer and later she worked at Allegheny Coating in Ridgway.

Joyce was Presbyterian by faith. She enjoyed spending time on her computer, especially Facebooking with friends and playing games. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan and loved rooting for Andrew McCutchen. Joyce had a green thumb and enjoyed growing flowers around her home and crocheting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother and her husband she is also survived by a daughter: Jessica (Adam) Dietrick of Brockport, two sons: Sam and Brian Reed both of Brockport; two sisters: Cindy (Dennis) Miller of Brockway; Alberta (Randy) Walker of Sykesville and a brother Carl Anderson Jr. of Falls Creek; one grandson Zane Reed and one granddaughter Alexandra “Alex” Dietrick. She is also survived by two aunts: Loretta Morris of Brockport; Thelma Hadfield of Kane, PA; and one uncle Daniel (Diane) Bundy of Brandy Camp.

In addition to her father she is preceded in death by a brother Randy Anderson and a sister Debbie Anderson.

Calling hours will be on Sunday January 24 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 25 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home with Pastor David Nagele officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Ridgway.
