Judith Marie Gray, age 96, a lifelong resident of DuBois, PA, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville.
Born on March 29, 1927, in Manchester, Vermont; she was the daughter of the late Bryon Francis and Edna Putt Parry.
Judy was married to Carl Gordon Gray and he preceded her in death on May 19, 2001. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage.
Retired, she had been employed as a Packer at Brockway Glass.
Judy was a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church in DuBois. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, working crossword puzzles, reading and especially being outdoors tinkering around and doing just about anything.
She is survived by a son Terry Gray of Brockway; a brother Richard (Carol) Parry of Sykesville; 6 grandchildren: Tracy (Brooks) Shenkle, Michael (Barb) Gray, Scott Doutt, Dan Doutt, Jayme Brady, and Melissa (Brent) Bigney. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is also preceded in death by a son Dana Gray, a daughter Sally Nicholson, a sister Esther Allen; brothers Forrest “Bud” Parry; Bryon “Junior” Parry a grandson Chris Downer and her daughter-in-law Linda G. Gray.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 1 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ann Dixon Officiating.
Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery in DuBois. Memorial donations May be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
