Junior D. Senior, age 86, of (Shawmut) Brockport, Pa., died on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Highland View Health Care in Brockway.
Born in Falls Creek, Pa. on September 25, 1929, he was the son of the late Rueben A. and Alice M. Kinder Senior.
He was married to Elsie I. Bish and she preceded him in death on January 23, 2007.
Retired, Junior had worked as an operator at Brockway Glass. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War.
Junior attended the Crenshaw Community Church and was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Brockway. He was a member of Elk Masonic Lodge #379 in Ridgway and also was a member of the Coudersport Consistory. He enjoyed spending time in his garden, tinkering around his house and helping others.
He is survived by a daughter Marcia (Robert) Tinker of Brockway and a son Stacy (Nancy) Senior also of Brockway. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he is also preceded in death by brothers Arthur and Russell Senior; sisters Ella Clark, Gladys Nichols, Margaret Edinger, Emma Kweder, Mildred Moore, Annabelle Clark, Beulah Tudor and an infant sister Susan.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, June 12, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 13, at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home with Pastor Faith Bryan officiating.
Burial will be in the Beechwoods Cemetery. A Masonic Service will be held Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Full Military Honors will be accorded Monday morning also at the funeral home by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
