“There is something for everyone at Kalyumet Fore Fun and Kalyumet Campground,” Becky Wineman told exploreJeffersonpa.com.

Kalyumet Campground has been open for 28 years, and in 2008, owners Mark and Becky Wineman opened what they call the “Big Building.” It consists of a state of the art kitchen and an arcade. This means you can order your favorite pizza or wings while playing your favorite arcade games.

Over 24 flavors of soft serve ice cream are also served in the Big Building.

The Redemption Arcade Center is perfect for rainy days.

There is a wide array of classic favorites and newer redemption games such as Gum Drop, Wizard of Oz Pinball, Big Bass Wheel, and Cruisin’ Blast.

Since it is the largest arcade in the Cook Forest area, the entire family can spend the day competing with family and friends for the most tickets. After players have collected all of their tickets, they can redeem them, choosing from hundreds of prizes.

The “Big Building” also includes a high tech virtual reality escape room that can be played by up to four players.

“It was the first of its kind in Pennsylvania,” said Mark Wineman. “It is the perfect family-friendly game.”

Mark and Becky dubbed their escape room “ESCAPE IN COOK FOREST.”

The puzzles participants must solve in order to escape range in difficulty; nevertheless, the scenario is generally family-friendly. Some of the puzzles may be solved by one person, but others require the participants to act as a team. The one hour experience is split into two thirty-minute segments. If participants fail to solve the first segment in thirty minutes, they are given a choice: Participants can spend the other thirty minutes trying it again, or they can move on to the second segment.

On sunny days, individuals have their choice of Outdoor Laser Tag or Miniature Golf at Kalyumet Fore Fun.

Outdoor Laser Tag is played on a three-acre wooded field. The game can be played by beginners with an open range or by more experienced gamers who prefer strategy, teamwork, and a variety of scenarios.
