Kay E. Brooks

Kay E. Brooks, 74, of Rossiter, died Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Penn Highlands DuBois.

She was born June 13, 1947, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Loretta (Sherwin) and David R. Williard.

In August of 1965, she married James D. Brooks, who survives.

Kay was a graduate of the Punxsutawney High School.

She worked at Walmart as a Pharmacy Technician and attended the Steffy United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed shopping, baking, reading, crossword puzzles and word searches.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Marty Brooks and wife Catherine of Rossiter, Mike Brooks of Rossiter, and Bob Brooks of Punxsutawney; six grandchildren, Tiffany Hewitt and husband Alex, Logan Sikora and husband Levi, Skylar Brooks and fiancé Jon Voss, Meghan Brooks, Madison Brooks and Cole Brooks; two great grandchildren, A.J. and Grayson Hewitt; and a nephew Scott Karro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Ray Williard, a sister Esther Karro and a daughter-in-law Marcy Brooks.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will begin immediately following visitation at 2 p.m., with Pastor Charles Prevot officiating.

Interment will be in Devers Cemetery, Rossiter.

Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Brooks, to the American Diabetes Association, P.O Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
