Keith De’Vern Martz

Keith De’Vern Martz, age 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 30, 2015, in his room at the Jefferson Manor.

He was born on May 11, 1929 to the late William Eugene and Alice (Bish) Martz, who were formerly of the Brookville and Corsica, PA, areas. In 1948 he married Clara Lutz in Brookville, PA; Clara preceded him in death in November of 2007.

He delivered milk in the Brookville area in his younger years. Later he was employed by the W.P. Stahlman Coal Company
and later by the C&K Coal Company as a dozer operator. He served his country in the United States Navy during world war II. Keith loved to fish and hunt; he enjoyed watching football and baseball as well. He was fondly known for his practical jokes;
he enjoyed writing poetry and reading; but his most beloved book was his Bible, and he loved sharing the gospel with others.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by 2 daughters, Shirley Bruner (John) Semanco of New
Bethlehem, PA, and Kathy (Gary) Bauer of Wilson, NC; 5 siblings, Kerry Martz of Sumpter, SC; Don Martz of Port Charlotte, FL; Helen Faye Flemming of Brookville, PA; Margaret Kennedy of Mesa, AZ; and Lois Henry of Archdale, NC; 10 grandchildren; 17
great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Keith is preceded in death by 1 daughter, Carolyn (Robert) Siar; 3 brothers, Earl, Fred, and Dale Martz; and 2 sisters, Ruth Pierce and Deloris Wolfgang.
