L. Darlene Cook, 61 of Distant, died unexpectedly Sunday, February 22, 2015 at her residence.
Born on July 4, 1953 in Kittanning, she was the daughter of Dorothy (Stewart) Lorigan of Kittanning and the late Harry James Wagner. She lived with her longtime companion, Kenneth L. Steffey, who also died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his residence.
Darlene worked for the Brookville Hospital.
In addition to her mother, Darlene is survived by a daughter, Tammy Chestnut of New Bethlehem, a granddaughter, Kloey Chestnut, a twin sister, Arlene Huba and husband, Gary of Butler, a brother, Larry Stewart and wife, Karen of Kittanning, two step sisters, Terry Lorigan of Jeannette and Tina Hallowell and husband, Ted of Reynoldsville and a niece and nephew, Doug and Julie Cogley of Butler.
Darlene’s wish was to be cremated.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 at the Alcorn Funeral home in Hawthorn. A memorial service will follow at 8:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor John Phillips officiating.
