LaParne, Sloan, Schindler, Huey Finish in Top 30 in District 9 Boys’ Hoops in Scoring

CLARION, Pa. (D9Sports) – A pair of DuBois-region players join a couple of Jefferson County athletes in finishing in the Top 30 scoring in District 9 boys’ basketball in scoring for the 2016 season.

DuBois Central Catholic’s Christian LaParne was the sixth-leading scorer in the district averaging 19.0 ppg, while DuBois’ Zach Sloan was tied for 16th scoring 14.5 ppg. Brookville’s Kurt Schindler tied for 25th netting 13.6 ppg, and Punxsutawney’s Dylan Huey was tied for 29th putting in 13.3 ppg.

Rounding out the tri-county area in the leaderboard are a pair of Clarion-Limestone players and a Clearfield baller.

C-L’s Dan Callen finished as the seventh-leading scorer in D9 averaging 18.7 ppg, while his Lions’ teammate, Noah Rankin, was 15th scoring 14.8 ppg. Clearfield’s Will Myers was 10th averaging 17.3 ppg.
